Privacy Policy for OrgCraft – Developer Tools for Salesforce

OrgCraft – Developer Tools for Salesforce is an open-source Chrome extension that provides a browser-based developer workbench for Salesforce environments.

Summary

OrgCraft does not use advertisements, analytics, tracking pixels, a hosted application backend, or remotely hosted executable code. The extension communicates directly between the user’s Chrome browser and Salesforce domains selected by the user.

Information handled by the extension

The extension may locally process:

• Salesforce authentication information, including a Salesforce Session ID, to make user-requested API calls.
• Salesforce records, query results, metadata, source code, debug logs, test results, permissions, job information, and deployment responses.
• The URL and title of the Salesforce tab used to open the workbench.
• User-entered queries, code, JSON, XML, metadata definitions, API requests, and preferences.

This information is processed only to provide the extension’s features. It is not sold or transmitted to the extension developer.

Local storage

• Active and manually entered Salesforce connection information is kept in Chrome session storage and is intended to be cleared when the Chrome session ends or when the user disconnects.
• Query history and non-sensitive preferences may be stored locally in the user’s Chrome profile.
• Salesforce Session IDs are not intentionally stored in Chrome synchronized storage.
• A Session ID revealed in the interface is cleared from the page after 60 seconds or when the Connection dialog closes. The extension cannot erase a value already copied to the operating-system clipboard.

Data sharing

OrgCraft does not share user data with the extension developer, advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties. Salesforce information is sent only to the Salesforce domain required to perform the action requested by the user.

Remote code

The extension does not download or execute remotely hosted JavaScript. All executable extension code is packaged with the extension.

Security

Users should treat Salesforce Session IDs as passwords. Test write, deployment, Anonymous Apex, metadata creation, and destructive features in a sandbox or Developer Edition environment before using them in production.

User choices

Users can disconnect the active connection, clear a manually entered Session ID, clear local query history, and uninstall the extension through Chrome.

Changes

If data-handling practices change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the changed version is published.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

OrgCraft’s use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. User data is used only to provide the user-requested Salesforce developer and administrator functionality.

Depending on the connected Salesforce environment and the actions performed by the user, locally processed Salesforce records, metadata, logs, and query results may contain personal information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, usernames, and account identifiers. This information is not transmitted to the OrgCraft developer.
